Cable and satellite providers are classified as vendors that provide the bond and ongoing delivery of television, internet (computer network, information services, email website hosting services) telephone and radio programming via cable connection or satellite on a subscription or fee basis. Gas stations are categorized as retailers that sell gas mainly for consumer use and could or may not be attended.
Certain Non-Qualifying Purchases: Car local rental purchases not eligible to receive double kilometers include purchases at vendors that rent electric motor homes or other recreational vehicles and purchases made through travel firms, tour operators, and online third-party travel sites. Gas train station purchases not permitted receive double miles include but are not limited to, buys made at warehouse-night clubs that do not code gas train station purchases under a gas-place code, discount stores, department stores, and convenience stores. Each product owner – e.g., a retailer, business, or any other place where you may make a purchase – is assigned a code that shows the merchant’s main section of business.
We don’t assign or have any control over merchant codes. Codes are designated by an authorized. When a purchase is manufactured by you as a vendor, we’re providing the code for the product owner and if the code matches a category that gives you additional miles, you will earn the excess miles.
Because we don’t control what code a merchant is assigned, sometimes a purchase that you think fits a certain category may not earn additional miles. For instance, a restaurant located within a sizable retail outlet may not be assigned a “restaurant” code, but instead a “retailer” code. This means that if you obtain additional is for “purchases at restaurants,” you won’t earn additional is for buys at that restaurant.
